Jack Dawe was out splitboarding in Grizzly Gulch in Little Cottonwood Canyon on a stormy January day when he came across this — a vintage snowcat parked and buried, storm still coming down, the cab windows frosted and loaded with snow.
People with homes up the Gulch use them for access. This one wasn't going anywhere today.
Shot head-on in black and white, it reads almost as a portrait — the machine weathered and stoic, indifferent to the conditions accumulating around it.
Every Distant Dawn print is professionally produced and custom framed, arriving ready to hang. This fine art photography print is printed on premium archival photo paper, built to hold the grain and quiet character of that stormy Utah afternoon on your wall.
