Do Not Track and Your Privacy Choices

Last updated: May 2026

Do Not Track (DNT)

Certain web browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites indicating you prefer not to have your online activity tracked. At this time, there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should interpret DNT signals, and Distant Dawn does not currently change its data practices in response to a DNT signal from your browser.

We do, however, recognize and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out request for tracking and targeted advertising purposes.

Your Rights Under California Law

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide you with specific rights over your personal information. These include the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you and how it has been used

  • Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions

  • Request corrections to inaccurate personal information

  • Restrict how we use sensitive personal information

  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information

We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

Distant Dawn does not sell your personal information. That said, California law defines certain types of data sharing — such as disclosures to analytics or advertising partners — broadly enough that they may be classified as a "sale" or "sharing" under the statute.

If you would like us to stop sharing your personal information in any way that could fall under these definitions, you may submit a written request and we will act on it promptly.

Data Protection for International Visitors

If you are visiting Distant Dawn from outside the United States, including from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we want you to know that we take your data rights seriously. Under applicable data protection laws such as the GDPR, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Have your personal data corrected or erased

  • Restrict or object to certain types of processing

  • Request that your data be provided to you in a portable format

  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

We collect and process only the personal data necessary to operate our services — including your name, email address, shipping address, and payment information when you make a purchase. We do not collect data beyond what is needed to fulfill your order and communicate with you about it.

If you have questions or wish to exercise any of these rights, please reach out to us at hello@distantdawn.com.
