What is your free shipping policy?
We offer free shipping within the contiguous 48 states. We do ship to Hawaii and Alaska for an additional fee. Shipping costs to these locations are calculated at checkout based on your order size and weight. Contact support@distantdawn.com if you have questions about shipping costs before placing your order.
Do you ship internationally?
Unfortunately, no. If you're located outside the US, we're unable to fulfill orders at this time. We're exploring options to expand our shipping network, and encourage you to reach out to support@distantdawn.com if you'd like to express interest—understanding demand helps guide our growth.
How long will it take to get my order?
Orders ship within 5–7 business days of placement. Transit time varies by location, typically 3–7 days for continental US delivery. You'll receive tracking information via email as soon as your order ships.
Can I ship to a PO box?
We can only ship to physical street addresses. PO boxes aren't able to receive our framed prints due to their size and Fedex handling requirements.
Returns
Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placement for a full refund. After that window, we begin production immediately and cannot accept cancellations. If you have concerns about your order, contact support@distantdawn.com right away—we'll do everything we can to help.
Can I return my product?
Because each piece is made specifically for you, we cannot accept returns due to change of preference. However, we stand behind our work.
We will replace your order if:
- The piece arrives damaged (glass broken, frame cracked, print damaged)
- You received the wrong image, size, or frame option
- The print shows defects (misalignment, printing errors)
What if my print arrives damaged?
We stand behind our work. If your print arrives damaged or incorrect - please save your packaging and photograph the affected items, the packaging, and the shipping label. Contact us at support@distantdawn.com within 5 days of receiving your order with those photos.
Artist Submissions
Do you accept submissions from new photographers?
We're always looking to expand our collection with photographers whose work aligns with ours. If you think your images fit, we'd welcome your submission. Please send 5–10 portfolio images to submissions@distantdawn.com. We review all submissions carefully, though our selective curation process means we may not respond to every inquiry.
General
Do you sell photos that are made with AI?
No. Every photograph in our gallery is made by a photographer—someone who spent time in the field, made deliberate choices about light and composition, and built their vision over years of practice. We don't sell AI-generated images.
Is my payment secure?
Completely. Our website is SSL-encrypted and secured through Shopify, a leading payment processor. We don't store credit card information, and we never share your personal data. Every transaction is as secure as it gets.
Do you include an invoice with my order?
No, this keeps the unboxing experience clean and focused on the work itself.
Do you offer gift cards?
Not yet! If you are interested in a gift card, please ask.
