Chris Bennett
Chris Bennett, born and raised in Maine's woods, photographs wilderness with the eye of someone who's lived in it. Sand dunes and mountain peaks. Forest lakes at dawn. His work captures the scale and solitude of wild places—the kind of clarity that comes from spending time outside the frame.
A degree from RIT and six months as a backcountry ranger on the Appalachian Trail shaped his approach: patience, precision, respect for place. He disappears every July for the Tour de France and cycles when he's not behind the camera. He believes the key to happiness is the number of adventures you have.
His photographs have appeared in National Geographic Traveler, Outside Magazine, Men's Journal, Backpacker Magazine, and L.L. Bean.
